An international presenter, author, and coach, Dr. Jeff Doucette is highly regarded as a “top tier” presenter by corporate audiences from business to healthcare and every industry in between!

Dr. Doucette is the Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Virginia.  As a Nurse executive he has also served in the capacity of, Associate Chief Operating Officer for Emergency Services at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina and Executive Director of Patient Care Services for Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, Florida.  Dr. Doucette completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice at Old Dominion University in the first Nurse Executive cohort.  He received a Master of Science in Health Care Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.  He is Adjunct Faculty in the DNP program at Old Dominion University and in the Undergraduate BSN program at Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Dr. Doucette has been practicing for over 20 years, spending the majority of his career in leadership and executive nursing roles.  In addition, he serves on the editorial advisory board for Nursing Management Journal and speaks extensively throughout the country on topics of interest to nursing leaders. Dr. Doucette is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds certifications as a Nurse Executive – Advanced, Certified Emergency Nurse, and Certified Executive in Nursing Practice.  His research interests include Chief Nursing Officer retention, AONE leadership competencies, and developing future nursing leaders.
